Pigato Riviera di Ponente
With a mere 4 hectares of vineyards located in Diano Arentino and Diano Castelli, in the western part of Liguria. Emanule Trevia and his wife Maria Donata both hail from generations of winemaking in the area and made their first vintage together in 1977. The farming is organic and both whites are vinified in stainless steel with native yeast fermentation. Precise aromas of lemon blossom and zest, orange marmalade, brown butter and dried herbs lead to pure, pretty flavors of yellow fruits like mirabelle plum, peach and lemon, yellow spice, crushed stone, savory herbs finishing briny and crisp. Pigato is a variant of Vermentino.
